Virtual: 18th Annual GCO Comics Conference “Exploring the In-Betweens: Comics in Flux”

Please join the University of Florida’s Graduate Comics Organization on May 20th-22nd for a free and open to the public comics and graphic novels conference: “Exploring the In-Betweens: Comics in Flux.”

This year the conference is centered on questions of liminality and im/mobility, exploring comics as flux, or comics as fruitful places for articulating change and transformation. The organizers aim to emphasize the way comics move, whether that be between panels, across mediums, or the plain ways they move us to ideological change.

Keynote speakers and workshops include Dr. Ramzi Fawaz, Rob Sheridan, and the Sequential Artists Workshop.

One of the presenters, emerson l.r. barrett, is a graduate student at Oregon State University. emerson l.r. barret will present on Sunday, at 12:10 pm PST.
