I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota before moving to Oregon at the age of 1.5. I am an artist who specializes in comics and lowbrow art.
I studied at Portland State University and received a BA with a double major in Art Practice and Japanese language. I also studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan for half a year and received a certificate from the Asian Studies Program.
Ever since I was a teenager, I have been fascinated by the rich comics culture in Oregon and in Japan. My characters speak to others as if the viewers who read comics and watch cartoons could interact with them. I am also inspired by the magic that cartoons have in bringing up messages about the underbelly of certain societies and other cultural references in the underground comix and Japanese manga culture. I am about making my worlds and characters come to life, and poking fun into relations with our world from the tip of my ink pen.
