Welcome, Elizabeth Lucas-Lucas, our second Anne Elizabeth Richardson Fellow 2024/25

The Oregon Cartoon Project is delighted to announce that we awarded the second of two Anne Elizabeth Richardson Fellowships for 2024/25 to Elizabeth Lucas-Lucas.

Elizabeth Lucas-Lucas is a native Oregonian from Cornelius. She is currently a Junior attending the University of Oregon where she is pursuing an Advertising and Cinema Studies degree with a minor in Legal Studies. Going forward with her professional career, she is excited to continually create work that aligns with the experiences that have shaped her identity and the aspects of life she loves by working with organizations/companies whose mission she feels strongly about. In her free time she loves to explore the outdoors, take photographs, discover new music and spend time with her family/friends.

She will work closely with the Oregon Cartoon Project and plans to curate promotional content throughout the year to advertise an end of school year showcase that answers the question: “What is Oregon about Oregon art?” She will be welcoming high school and college students to submit their own interpretation of the question for a chance for their work to be featured in the OCP gala showcase, scheduled for May. Additionally, the showcase will have an Oregon artist speaker present who will be picked through her own research and outreach that focuses on underrepresented artists. The event will be an amazing opportunity to experience Oregon art and connect the Oregon Cartoon Project’s mission with the community. Elizabeth is honored to navigate this exciting project and watch it unfold for the months to come!

Congratulations and welcome, Elizabeth!
